This entrance porch to the Bodhi - Tree Shrine was res ored by Mr.S.M.Burroes and was named after hin as ' Burrows Pavilion'. The tow srone onscriptions found in its vicinity could be attributed to King Mahinda IV ( 956-972 A.C.) and King Kassapa V (914- 923 A.C.). The rules and regulation with regard to he administration of the Abhayagiriya Monastery are inscribed on them.
