Name :- Jethawanarama stupa ( jethawanaramaya)
Location  Anuradhapura District, North Central Province, Sri Lanka.


A long long ago Jethawanarama stupa was the 3rd tallest building.it Built king Mahasen (273-301 A.D.). it was 400 feet hight.





From Colombo to anuradhapura have 204 km
From Anuradhapura to Abayagiriya have 12 km

About Abayagiriya

King Walagamba is credited with the construction of Abhayagiri dageba during the period of his second reogn, from 89-77 BC. It is one of the tallest buildings of ancient times. Present day height of this dageba is 245 feet. The relics of the Buddha are said to have been enshrined in a figure of a bull made out of thick gold. the name, according to the chronicles, is derived by combining ' abhaya' ( form the name of King Vattagamini abhaya) and 'Giri' ( name of Nighanta who lived in the jain monastery).
